Read the following guidelines to solve this puzzle -
1. Every square in the grid will contain one number
2. In a 4 x 4 puzzle, the only numbers that can be used are 1.2.3, and 4.
3. You will not repeat the same number in a row or column
4. The areas that are outlined with a thick dark line are called cages. Each
cage will contain one square with a number on the top left, which is
called the target number. The numbers in the squares within a cage must
create the target number using addition, subtraction, multiplication, or
division. The symbol next to the target number tells you what operation
to use
For subtraction and division, the numbers can be in any order as long as
the smaller number subtracted from (or divided into the larger number
equals the target.
5. Cages with just one square should be filled in with the target number in
the top comer. These are called freebies. Freebies will not have a symbol
next to the target number. Many KenKen puzzle solvers like to start with
the freebies. If there are any.
A KenKen puzzle with a few labels is shown below. For emphasis. a variety of
colors were ased to denote the different cages outlined by the thick dark lines.

Lets start with freebie  4

in That column  1 , 2 , 3 left

but bottom two rows have /(Division)  so 3 not possible

=> 3 will be at top in right most line

now there is 7 in cage

so 7 = 3 + 1 + 3   or 3 + 2 + 2 (not possible as both 2 will be in same column)

so 3rd column top row = 1   ( as 3 is already in row)

& 3rd column 2nd row = 3

Now top most left cage = 16

1 * 4 * 4   or   2 * 2 * 4

2  * 4 must be in top row   as 1 & 3 already used

so 2 * 2 * 4

as now 2 will be in 2nd row / 2nd column

so top row

2  4   1  3    

second row

1  2   3   4

cage 12 = 2 * 2 * 3  not possible so 1 * 3 * 4

so 4 is bottom row 1 st column

so 1st column    2  1  3 4   & 2nd column 4 , 2 , 1 , 3

This way complete solution can be done
