In the poem A blind boy ,the boy wonders what a light is like for he has never seen it . He wishes to know what is blessings of sight are. People around him talk of the beautiful things they see. They say the sun shines bright but he can only feel warmth of the the sun. He cannot understand how the sun brings about night and day. To him, day is when he play and night is when he sleeps.

The blind boy hears people pitying him but he does not feel sorry for himself. He decides that he will not make himself unhappy over something he cannot have/get. He would be a happy king by being cheerful
