Explanation:
I have a story that you might find,
a little weird, and unrefined.
I have a pet monster, yes it’s true,
He goes in my closet, and eats all my shoes.
He snacks on zippers, buckles and laces,
Bits of leather get stuck in his big silver braces.
Every time I buy a new shiny pair,
You can guarantee he’s hungry and will always be there.
He eats my sneakers for breakfast, my brown clogs for lunch,
When he's really hungry he eats both pairs for brunch.
My pet monster won't skip out on dinner,
If there was a prize for shoe-eating he'd be the winner.
I can't get mad at my little pet monster, no sir-e,
There are so many shoes, but no other like he.
If he eats my slippers I won’t worry,
My pet monster sleeps on my feet and keeps my toes warm because he’s so furry.
My pet monster has a cute wiggly tail,
He barks, goes for walks, and plays catch well without fail.
If you haven't figured out what my pet monster is I’ll give you a clue;
My little pet monster is a puppy named Bubo.
