"With Scindia to Delhi" is written by Rudyard Kipling, one of the great English poets. The poem actually describes a battle fought near Delhi between Scindia and his rivals. The poet describes in the poem about a beggar-girl who loved Scindia a lot and and followed him in all his camps, on his saddle-bow. Scindia lost the girl when almost within sight of safety.
