Answer:Yes I agree with the statement that oliver goldsmith uses a range of details to breathe life into village school master . The name of the teacher was Thomas (Paddy) Byrne. He had taught goldsmith when he was 6 years old. The poet clearly gives us examples from his poem that the village school master was an ideal teacher. There are various reasons like he was serious and strict but also cracked jokes to keep his class light hearted was knowledgeable and intellectual had intense love for learning. He was an accurate surveyor of land could predict weather patterns made estimations accurately . Whenever the schoolmaster was in a debate or arguement he used difficult high sounding words which had emotive language. The villagers were amazed at his knowledge and he got a lot of respect and admiration from the villagers or rustics. He was also an erstwhile educator. He wanted his students to be learned men. Hope it helps u. Please check if any grammatic or spelling errors are there....
