• One can take up the poet's mention of broken window panes as it makes us realize that even though the window panes may not seem relevant to the poem and its subject, they are meaningful.
• The other element of subtlety is that the man she loves who happens to be me is claimed by the boyfriend.
• This means that while he lacks the things she is doing, he is sure she loves him as well, and this makes him gladly accept the fact that her lady is always correct.
