If x=3 and y=4.

3y=kx+7

3(4)=k(3)+7

12=3k+7

12-7=3k

5=3k

k=5/3

now here we know x=3 and y=-4

so 3(-4)= k(3)+7

-12=3k+7

-12-7=3k

-19=3k

-19/3=k

k= -6.3 (3 under bar)
