Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

  • Point a and point b are are 50 km apart on a highway.

  • A car starts from A and another car starts from b at the same time.

  • they travelled in the same direction they meet in 5 hours .

  • they move towards each other they meet in one hour.

  • Distance between A & B is 50km.

supposed the speed is x-y.

when they are moving towards each other,the speed is x+y.

Distance = 50km

5(x-y)=50

x-y=10---›(i)

similarly

1(x+y)=0

x+y=50---›(ii)

Solving (i) & (ii)

x+y=50

x -y=10

_____

2x=60.

x=60/2=30 Km/ hr.

substitute x in x+y=50

so,30+y=50;y=20 km/hr.

Hence The speed of Car A is 30km/hr.

Hence The speed of Car A is 30km/hr.The speed of Car B is 20 km/hr.
