Point A is 7 metres to the west of B. B is 3 metres to the north of C. Point D is 4 metres to the west of C. Then if a person walks 3 metres to the north of D and reaches a point E, how much he should walk to reach point A and in which direction? ​

he should walk 3 meters more in west direction i.e to his left.
