Given :-

  • Point B is an interior of ∆AOC.
  • ∠AOB : ∠AOC = 3 : 8 .
  • ∠BOC = 80° .

To Find :-

  • AOB and ∠AOC ?

Solution :-

Let us assume that, ∠AOB and ∠AOC are 3x and 8x respectively . (Ratio is given 3 : 8) .

so,

→ ∠BOC = ∠AOC - ∠AOB

→ ∠BOC = 8x - 3x

→ ∠BOC = 5x .

then,

→ 5x = 80°

→ x = 16° .

therefore,

→ ∠AOB = 3x

→ ∠AOB = 3 * 16 = 48° (Ans.)

and,

→ ∠AOC = 8x

→ ∠AOC = 8 * 16 = 128° (Ans.)
