3 is the answer.
As 4x+2x=18
x=18/6
x=3.

Given :-

  • Point G lies between points F and H on Line segment FH.
  • The space between F and G is 4 x.
  • The space between G and H is 2 x.
  • The length of FH is 18 units.

To Find :- value of x ?

Solution :-

As we have given that , Point G lies between points F and H on Line segment FH.

So, Distance of G from both F and H is Equal to total length of line segment FH.

→ FG + GH = FH

we have given that,

  • FG = 4x
  • GH = 2x
  • FH = 18 units.

So, Putting all values we get,

→ 4x + 2x = 18

→ 6x = 18

Dividing both sides by 6,

x = 3 .

Hence, value of x is 3.
