1) Gymnosperms and Angiosperms (I think there is another overrall name, tracheophyta, but I am not sure)
2) They reproduce through seeds rather than spores. A seed is a zygote surrounded by a protective, nutritive tissue.
3) Seed plants are some of the biggest organisms on the planet. They need a deep root stystem, efficient vascular tissue in the stems, roots, and leaves, and their leaves are varied more so than seedless vascular.
4) Ferns are the only vacular plants that reproduce through spores. They are also more ancient than either other group. Gymnosperms produce naked seeds. Angiosperms are flowering plants that produce fruit. They are the most diverse and successful plant group today.
5) Conifers (pinophyta), ginkgos (ginkgophyta), and gnetophytes (gnetophyta. Conifers are best known to their contributions to northern ecosystems and their needles. They are evergreen, staying photosynthetically active all year-round. Ginkgo biloba is the only surviving species of its phylum today. Gnetophytes are the closest related gymnosperms to angiosperms. They share many of the same characteristics.
6) Magnoliopsida are dicots, whereas Liliopsida are the monocots. Dicots are more diverse.
7) The seed provides a nutritive tissue to support the growing seed. Also, hormones and other factors trigger activation of the seed when environmental conditions are right (like water availability).
8) Flowers and cones are the bearers of seeds. Flowers and fruits are the ultimate aids of dispersal (too many resons to list).
9) Pollen is advantageous for life on land because there are so many different ways to disperse it. Animals of all types disperse pollen (bats, birds, bees, etc.)
10) I sort of listed them above...
hope that helps :)

These are the two main traits that make them successful seed producing plants of earth:

- They are vascular plants which mean they have vascular bundles for the transportation of food and water. Xylem transport water from roots to other parts whereas phloem takes food from leaves and transport it to the rest of the parts.

- They produce seeds. Seeds require proper conditions for the development. In case, the conditions are not favorable, the seed won’t grow and wait for the favorable conditions.
