Answer:

The truks succeded in India because-

  • India lacked political unity. There were many small kingdoms tht were constantly at war with one another. They failed to unite even in the face of a foreign enemy. Political disunity, therefore, helped the Turks to defeat the rulers easily.
  • Indian rulers kept small armies. The bulk of the army was under the feudal chiefs. This made the rulers deendent on the feudal lords. Further, such armies were more loyal to the feudal lords than to the rulers. This weakened the power of the rulers.
  • India was scientifically backward. No progress has been made in military tactics and warfare techniques. The slow-moving elephants and the. swordsmen were no match with the swift horses and the archers that the turk had.

In short we can say

The truks suceeded because

  • India lacked political unity.
  • Indian rulers kept small armies.
  • India was scientificall backward.
