It has its fair share of both pros and cons.

I don’t think social media is killing creativity because today, social media have facilitated us to access so much information which is practically impossible in conventional method, to interact with great minds across the globe. It has created a great impact on almost everyone including students, professionals and retired senior citizens. For instance, spending time on Quora taught me to have a different perspective towards anything, to develop my writing, to know whats happening at every corner of the world and also helped me in finding my unnoticed interests. It also makes me to be creative and develop my cintent to present it to the world. Facebook and Instagram have helped me to connect with like minded folks all around the world.

Now peeping to the darker side, We are aware of several cases where social media played a major role in spoiling so many lives. It is also resulting in rapid growth of plagiarism. I can relate to this a lot as I’m an architecture student, I can see the extent to which my fellow mates are dependent on Pinterest and Instagram, which is hampering their creativity.

It completely depends on the people and content one follows. It is neither a boon nor a bane.

constructive criticism is always appreciated.
