P = (2 , 3)  , Q = ( 3, 4)  , R = ( 4 , 5) if  points P, Q, R and S divide the segment joining the points A (1, 2) and B (6, 7) in 5 equal parts

Step-by-step explanation:

Points p, Q, R and S divide the segment joining the points A (1, 2) and B (6, 7) in 5 equal parts

=> AP = PQ = QR = RS = SB  = AB/5

PB = PQ + QR + RS + SB = 4 AP

=> AP : PB    =  1 : 4

=> P divided AB into 1 :4 ratio

A (1, 2) and B (6, 7)

P = ( 1 * 6 + 4 * 1)/(1 + 4)  , ( 1 * 7  + 4 * 2)/(1 + 4)

= 10/5  ,  15/5

= 2 , 3

P = ( 2, 3)

PR = RB

=> R is mid point of P & B

=> R =  (2 + 6)/2  , (3 + 7)/2

=> R = 4 , 5

Q is mid point of P & R

=> Q = 3 , 4

P = (2 , 3)  , Q = ( 3, 4)  , R = ( 4 , 5)
