The magnetic force appears to be concentrated at or near the end of the magnet these areas are called as magnetic poles.

the poles are suspended magnets which points towards the north pole the other Pole is called south seeking pole.

magnetic poles always exist in pairs it is not possible to produce an isolated north pole or south pole...
