HOLIDAYS HOMEWORK(SCIENCE)

1. Create your own amusement park creatively on a chart !

 Visit an amusement park with your family. Look closely at each ride and

identify its type of motion.

 Take a picture of each of the available ‘rides’ and label their type of motion.

 With the pictures of rides, set up your ‘amusement park’, on a chart paper.

Also draw some roads, grass, sidewalks and other things you find at an

amusement park.

 Use your amusement park to tell your friends about each ‘ride’ and the

type of motion associated with each ride.

2. Let us classify !

Visit a nearby departmental store and observe how classification of materials is

useful. Try to find out the basis of classification of different materials. Write

your observations in a tabular form on an A4 size sheet.

3. Green diary-

Observe any two animals and two birds in your surroundings. Click their pictures

and mention the following points along with their pictures in your green diary-

 Name of the animal / bird

 Body appearance( eg- colour of skin/feathers, body pattern if any, mouth/

beak, tail, feet etc.)

 Feeding habit

 Any unique feature they have
