colonization refers to the process in which a powerful country controls other political and economical countries . in other words ,when the subjugation of one country by another and leads to political ,economic, social and cultural changes in the former ,we call the process as colonization .
The British and their missionary is initially come to India for trade and Commerce and for a spread of Christianity . they had no political ambitions . but , they got lured by the richest and wealth of India . taking advantage of the unstable political conditions of the 18th century India ,they had gradually established strong hold on the major economically servicing centres .
