1. Every candidates will become Independent if their will be no political parties. So their will be no one to make promise to the people about major policy changes etc.

2. Functions like contesting elections, putting forward different policies and programmes, etc. are performed by political parties only.

3. Emergence of representative government is linked with the rise of political parties. Large societies are now in need to collect their views and to present it to the government.

4. Political parties fulfill all those expectations that representative governments have.

5. Concerning the various reasons above we can say that political parties are a necessary conditions for democracy.
