Political parties make ordinary citizens aware about the various welfare schemes of the government. It is easier for common people to approach their local party leaders and be aware about various policies, schemes, its implementation and its benefits. Ordinary citizens can also vent their grievances to local party leaders with regard to any policy and its implementation and accordingly a party can take a decision and be more responsive to their needs in order to come to power or even remain in power.
