The carpel is the female organ of a flower. It consists of the following three parts:
1.Stigma-it is the top part of the carpel which receives the pollen grain during pollination.it is sticky in nature so that the pollen grains can cling onto it.
2.Style-the style is a long tube which joins the stigma with the ovary.the pollen tube grows and reaches the ovary through the style.
3.Ovary-the ovary is the reproductive organ of the carpel which produces the female gamete ovule.it is in the ovary that fertilisation takes place.

Pollen grains are shed at 3 celled stages in some plants. The names of the 3 cells present at the time of shedding are two male gametes and one vegetative cell respectively.

Explanation:

In such cases the cells of pollen grains forms the pollen tube.

Stage 1: It has the presence of tube nucleus and Generative cell in the pollen grain.

Stage 2: It shows the development of pollen grain by the elongation of bottom part due to migration of generative cell and tube nucleus.

Stage 3: It shows a fully germinated pollen grain.
