Pistil is the female part of the flower and Pollen contains male germ cell

  • When pollen lands on suitable stigma a pollen tube is formed.
  • Pollen tube  passes through the style and hence reaches the ovary .
  • This is where the male germ cell and female germ cell fuse together to form a zygote.
