Pollination may occur without fertilization but fertilization will not take place without pollination. Give reason.

Becoz pollination is the movement of pollen from anther to stigma .It is just concerned with movement not with fertilization.But without pollination pollen can not be fertilized becoz it will not be able to reach the stigma.

If pollination does not occur then fertilization cannot take place because male gametes will not be available. For fertilization both male and female gametes must be present.
