pollination may occur without fertilization but fertilisation will not take place without pollination give reason. fertilisation means fusion of the two gametes while pollinationmeans the transfer of pollen grains from the anther of the flower to the stigma of that same flower or other flower of the same kind.

Pollination is the transfer of pollen grains which can happen without fertilisation..

But

Fertilisation happens only if it has the pollen grains.It is a stage of maturisation...
