Polio : Brief Explanation

• It is are highly communicable disease caused by virus.
• Here the causative agent basically affect the nervous system of the patient and result in the permanent paralysis of the the person affected.
• The causative agent is polio virus .
• It can be fatal that is , can cause death if not treated properly.

▫️Person affected suffers from severe body pain , fever , mild to severe headache and permanent paralysis effects . Other effects may last for short time and could disappear by proper medications.

Communicable Disease

• The diseases or infections that spread from one person to another (that is the healthy person catches the infection from the affected one) search diseases are known as communicable diseases.

1. common cold and cough
2. typhoid
3. Corona virus disease
4. Viral fever .

• The causative agent that helps in transmission of this disease can be from a microscopic virus to the unicellular bacteria. As they a deadly pathogens and our body is is highly prone to get infected by them.

Modes Of transmission

• There are almost uncountable ways of transmission of such infections that could be by direct or indirect contact with the affected person.
• Through Air such infectants travel more easily with the dust particles or slightly small amount of air droplets present.
• By using the the utensils , towels or clothes of the infected person one may get infected by by a communicable disease.

Polio Vaccine

• A Great boon has been invented by our scientists in order to prevent this widespread communicable disease from reach of the healthy new generation and that's polio vaccine.
• This vaccine is either given in the form of oral drops or directly injected in the body
