Organic agriculture promotes locally available (almost within the farm) inputs (animal excreta, composted plant waste, etc.) to make fertilizer, therefore no pollution due to

extraction of chemicals from, far below earth (energy intensive)
refining the chemicals (again energy intensive)
packing (again energy intensive)
transporting (again energy intensive)
finally throwing these chemicals in the agricultural field where 97% of them don’t get absorbed by the plants and remain in the top soil as solid pollutants.
What is - Chemical Fertilizer - it is actually Petroleum waste. In 1904–07, John D Rockefeller of Standard Oil extracted Petroleum (means crude oil and what we call petrol is actually gasoline) and it can’t be used as it is due to various impurities (meaning due to high content of non-inflammable Nitrogen and Tar etc.) and then the Petroleum refining started. After refining of Petroleum (Crude oil) about 40% of gasoline was the realized and huge pile of waste - Nitrogen compounds remained - the best way to dispose this is to call this as fertilizer and sell, else the costs of Petroleum exploration, extraction and refining all would be totally non affordable. When Rudolph Diesel found his engine it was originally running on Vegetable oil, mainly peanut oil.

The waste is superbly packaged as plant nutrient by Standard Oil - convincing this as a plant nutrient is the main job of CGIAR bodies (another Rockefeller promoted so called Agri research institutions). This came to India as Green revolution.

So what is this - millions of years the plants fix the excess atmospheric nitrogen and carbon as solids - as plant material is now brought out in the name of fuel and fertilizer and both the Earth (soil) and Air (atmosphere) are polluted.

There is no better fuel than Vegetable - oil and methane - when we grow and convert Vegetable into fuel we are actually covering the earth with plants. In the past the conversion of Veg into Fuel was done by Animals (Bulls, Horses, etc.) now we have technology to directly extract Methane /Ethane - we can use this as fuel. Methane is even better as it can be extracted without much difficulty from waste - using even the anaerobic bio-methane digesters - can be installed in homes.
