GRADUAL DECLINE OF POLYGAMY IN OUR SOCIETY:
The practice of men having more than one wife is termed as polygamy. Polygamy is illegal all over the country because the people face lot of difficulties. In polygamy, the men are allowed to have four wives.
As the civilization is mordernised , the polygamy started declining and there were formation of law by the Indian Constitution that the men should not get married again if the first wife is alive.
