Answer:

Consider a group of numbers and when you do any operation on them, the final answer becomes 0.

But we don't know the numbers. So we put x in place of that number.

So we take the equation as ax^2 + bx + c

This can be called a polynomial.

ax^2 + bx + c = 0 now becomes an equation as we equate the whole operation to 0.

Now we need to know the solutions to this number x. Meaning we have to find a number which will give final answer of ax^2 + bx + c as 0.

So that is the root of x.

Let it be a.

Now we know that x = a because a is a root of x.

so x-a=0 we will get.

And therefore x - a is a factor.

•A factor is one of two or more numbers that divides a given number without a remainder. Multiples and factors are best explained by using a number sentence such as the following: This number sentence tells us that 20 is a multiple of 5 and is also a multiple of 4. It also tells us that 5 and 4 are factors of 20.

•In mathematics, a polynomial is an expression consisting of variables and coefficients, that involves only the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and non-negative integer exponents of variables. An example of a polynomial of a single indeterminate, x, is x² − 4x + 7.
