I am gonna tell u the procedure then u can solve it on ur own. For solving question,take 1/√x as a and then take 1/√y as b So, eq. formed will be- 2a+3b=2 -------(1) Similarly, 4a-b=1 -------(2)  Now u have the two equations solve it and u get the value of a and b. Equate it with the value of 1/√x and 1/√y resp.

Solution.

2/root x + 3/ root y = 2
4/root x - 1/ root y = 1.

Let, 1/root x = a and 1/root y =b

Then,

2a + 3b = 2............eq (1.)
4a-b = 1
multiply both sides by 3.
12a-3b = 3........... eq (2.)

Now we add eq1. and eq.2
we get ,
14a = 5
a = 5/14.
put value of a in eq.1
we get,
b = 3/7

Now,
1/rootx = a and 1/root y = b
a = 5/14 and b = 3/7

So, 1/root x = 5/14 and 1/root y = 3/7
➡root x = 14/5 and root y = 7/3

➡now squaring both sides
➡x = 196/25 and y = 49/9

Hope this will help you ✌✌☺
