Pooja and her apricot tree story
Answers
Ever wondered what life is like for a tree, from its perspective? Well, according to my friend, Mr. Apricot Tree, he says that all plants have a perspective of its life. He also wants to share his story about producing his own fruit and the thoughts and struggles he went through. Would you like to eat some apricots from his branches and listen to his story with me?
Mr. Apricot Tree was excited, because he finally was big enough to support tons of fruit. Therefore in the spring time, Apricot took in all the sunshine, water, nutrients and sugar, he needed. Then in mid-spring when his fruits were more than half developed, terrible thoughts hit him. “What if I produce more than I can hold? And what if I produce more than enough? Will all those weeks of taking in all the sunshine, water and all of those other things have been a waste of time?”
Well, when his apricots were fully produced and beautiful, Apricots fears were confirmed; he had produced tons and tons of apricots. However, people and animals alike came and took some of those fruits off his branches. The humans rolled their eyes back and said, “Mmmmm…”, which Mr. Apricot took as that his fruits were really good. Then one day, the farmer of the plantation Mr. Apricot stood tall on came over to Mr. Apricot and tasted one of the apricots. Immediately, the farmer grabbed baskets and baskets and started overfilling them with apricots. Later, when all the people had taken all the apricots they wanted at the store, Mr. Apricot found out that there were tons extra. The extra apricots had, then, been sent to an orphanage. Therefore, the more fruit that trees produce, Mr. Apricot Tree found out, the better for farmers, store shoppers, animals, orphanages, poor people, and yes even trees.
