In India,Population is densely populated in the north Indian plains and the coastal regions whereas it is sparsely populated in Himalayas due to inaccessibility, adverse climatic conditions, less facilities and transport systems.It is also sparsely populated in the eastern side due to more rainfall.

The distribution of industries is uneven in India because the distribution of resources are uneven in India. Each company wants to start their industry at a place where they can get the raw materials at lower prices, where the transportation system is good so that they can deliver their products to the market, where there is good supply of electricity to run the industry etc.
