In India, over-population has been a major issue. This disastrous problem has been tackled in a small bit. The population explosion has resulted in poor living conditions in many parts of this nations. The country scarce resources have been stretched to the limit.  The Indian government has tried to maintain a balance between the optimum population growth and healthy nation with a little success. Over-population in this nation is mainly attributed to illiteracy, ignorance, absence of proper recreation and unhygienic living conditions. The citizen of this country should realize the importance of having fewer children. Retrogressive traditions are one of the factors hindering families to maintain a small number of kids. Some professionals such as carpenters, tailors etc think that having many kids will translate to more income since the kids take up their work.
