Population in 2000=7000

Population in 2010=9300

P= Final value-Initial value/Initial value x 100( Its final value divided by initial value times 100)

P= 9300-7000/7000x100 ( 9300-7000 divided by 7000 times 100)

P= 2300/7000X100

P= 32.857%

It is a really long decimal, but i would take it as 32%

Ans) There was a 32% increase in the population in the 10 years.
