Population of a country provides valuable human resource for production, service and other industry.

When population is less with regard to the requirement for manpower, human resources have to be imported from other countries. But this can result in an outflow of cash from the country which imports such manpower.

China, India, Philippines etc. are countries with abundant human resources and therefore it has cheap labour. This cheap labour finds its way to western countries, which have a shortage of manpower, to meet the demands of its industry.
