POPULATION'S EFFECT AND CONCLUSION HAVE BEEN MERGED
EFFECTS OF POPULATION:
POSITIVE
1) Great number of human resource
2) If provided with education and healthcare can become asset
3) If more number if people in a population are healthy and educated, then they contribute a lot in GDP
NEGATIVE
1) Requires large amount of resources
2) Government can't possibly reach to the remote population. So it becomes a burden.
3) Requires large amount of food and water.
4) More emphasise has to be given to infrastructure (engineering) and healthcare (medical)
5) Population requires home. Land prices rise and land becomes scarce.
Overall high population is always a burden. A good and strong economy requires a small but highly educated and healthy population.
EFFECTS ON ENVIRONMENT:
1) High requirements of food. So forests are cleared for agricultural lands.
2) High requirements of water. So there is increased pressure on fragile water resources.
3) Industries are needed to provide employment. So environment is polluted.
4) To sustain such large mass of people, resources are over exploited.
