initial population is taken as 100x
first year increased by 5% =105x
2nd year increased by 7%=107x
so now equating 2nd year population given to 107x
we get
107x=40446
x=378
therefore initial population is 100*x=100*378=37800
first year increased by 5% =105x
2nd year increased by 7%=107x
so now equating 2nd year population given to 107x
we get
107x=40446
x=378
therefore initial population is 100*x=100*378=37800
