population of town in 2005 = 440

population increases every year = 50%

population of town in 2006 = 50% of 440

=> 50/100×440

=> 5×44

=> 220

New number = 440+220 = 660

Population of town in 2007 = 50% of 660

=> 50/100×660

=> 5 × 66

=> 330

new number = 660+330 = 990

ANS :- Population of town in 2007 = 990
