Population of Rajasthan is equals to 570 lakhs and population of UP is equal to 1660 lakh. Area of Rajasthan is 3 lakhs square kilo meter and area of UP is 2 lakhs meter square.
i) How many people are there per meter square in both these states?
ii) Which state is less populated?

i ) Number of people/m² = Population ÷ Area

Rajasthan = 570 ÷ 3 = 190 people per square m

UP = 1660 ÷ 2 = 830 people per square m

ii ) Rajasthan
