There are 49 tiger reserves in india india has the 70 % of the worlds tigers. These reserves are governed by the project tiger and it is being administrsted by national tiger conservation authority.
The numbers have been increasing in 2006 there were 1411 tigers in 2011 1706 tigers
2226 tigers in 2014 and 2500 in 2016
