Population regulation is the process by which the population density is regulated

Basically when death rate is higher than the birth rate then population regulation is in action

population regulation can occur naturally by nature in the environment or can be due to actions of man

Competition among species as well as predation is a way of population regulation

Population regulation can be due to fires and diseases

Population regulation can as well be due to adverse weather conditions such as drought,fermine, flood or thunder that generally reduces the population
