Stomata are the Pores through which leaves exchange gases
Stomata has two flap like structures which would open allowing the passage of gases. Plants uses Carbon dioxide absorbed through Stomata for the essential process of Photosynthesis which results in production of oxygen which is left to the air. This oxygen supports life on Earth. Stomata is found on the epidermis of the leaf. Leafs are green in color due to the presence of pigment called Chlorophyll. This pigment is also present in Guard cells which are functional part of Stomata.
