Portia: I thank you for your wish, and as well pleas’d
To wish it back on you: fare you well, Jessica
(Exeunt Jessica and Lorenzo)
Now Balthazar,
As I have ever found thee honest – true,
So let me find thee still. Take this same letter,
And use thou all the endeavour of a man
In speed to Padua:
(i) Where does Portia say she is going to Lorenzo and Jessica? Why?

Portia says that she feels that if Antonio is worthy of Bassanio's friendship, he is well worth rescuing from "hellish cruelty" at any cost. Leaving the management of her affairs to Lorenzo, she announces that she and Nerissa will go to "a monastery two miles off" until their husbands return.

The reason Portia lies to Lorenzo is because she plans on traveling to Venice where she will dress up and impersonate Doctor Balthazar in order to influence Antonio and Shylock's court case.

mark it as brainliest please!!!
