Answer: Average speed - 23m/s

Explanation:

x = 5t² - 2t + 1

position at time t₁ = 1s  is x₁ = (5 x 1 )- 2 + 1 = 4 m

Position at time t₂ = 4 s is x₂ = (5x16)-2 x 4 + 1 = 73 m

Average speed =  \frac{(x2 - x1)}{(t2-t1)} = \frac{(73-4)}{(4-1)}  = 69/3 = 23 m/s
