To begin with, chemicals are used to improve the state or condition of things. For instance, chemicals are used to keep pests away from crops or to purify water or to keep food fresh for a longer time. However, with research, it has been established that these chemicals are more harmful than useful to humans and the environment. Chemicals finally either reach the soil or water or both, and at some point, come back to humans who made and used them. So, your poster needs to be based on these ideas.
Possible poster options:
1. Farmer using fertilizers/pesticides in farms, people consuming the vegetables and getting ill. You could even show people boarding the Cancer Train. (There are so many people who got cancer because of pesticides that an entire train of cancer patients goes from Punjab to Rajasthan for treatment.)
2. You could show a young child surrounding by piles of packaged food like chips, biscuits, chocolates, soft drinks, etc and then show the same child some years later as a fat child with very little hair on the head, diabetes and cholesterol related problems. The child cannot have a normal childhood because of medical issues.
