> Limitations of bohr's atomic model are :-

He was unable to explain spectra of larger atoms. It does not explain the Zeeman Effect or the relative intensity of spectral lines. Also the existence of hyperfine lines and zeeman effect.

>> Postulates of bohr's atomic model :-

1- 1) only orbits of certain radii are allowed for the electron in a hydrogen atom.

2) an electron in one of these "allowed" states has a specific energy and instable with time.

3) an electron can transition between allowed states if a photon is absorbed or emitted. The energy of the photon (E = hv)
