,calculate the amount of KCl formed.

2mol KClO3 produce 3 mol O2

Molar mass KClO3 = 122.55g/mol

5g KClO3 = 5/122.55 = 0.040 mol KClO3

This will produce 0.040*3/2 = 0.06 mol O2

Molar mass O2 = 32g/mol

0.06 mol = 32.0*0.06 = 1.92g O2 produced.
