When potassium chloride is added to water the residue that is left behind is  the white residue of potassium chloride.

  • The change that takes place is a physical change and the is reversible .
  • During the change, the properties and composition of the original substance are also not altered.
  • By adding water the solution mixes and on heating water it evaporates out leaving behind the salt potassium chloride
