ANSWER

  • see attachment for balanced chemical reaction
  • it is double displacement reaction
  • but question is wrong here in reactent it is potassium bromide instead of potassium iodide
  • for balance a reaction balance mass on both side by making atoms of all compund same on both side
  • since potassium iodide is more stable then potassium bromide
  • barium bromide is more stable then barium iodide

correct word eqn:

potassium bromide (aq) + barium iodide  (aq) →→ potassium iodide (aq) + barium bromide (s)

correct chemical eqn:

KBr (aq) + BaI₂ (aq) ---->  KI (aq) + BaBr₂ (s)

Type of reaction:

It is a type of double displacement reaction as well as precipitation reaction ,,since gives us Barium bromide as solid precipitate.

Balanced chemical eqn:

2 KBr (aq) + BaI₂ (aq) -----> 2 KI (aq) + BaBr₂ (s)
