Potato plants produce flowers , fruits and seeds . Yet they never grow from seeds because potato seeds are very weak. They rarely grow into plants.
The potato is underground swollen stem (tuber) which contains stored food material, The eyes on the potato tuber sprout and give rise to new plants

Potatoes are usually grown form the tuber axillary bud through vegetative propagation.They can also be grown from seed but its not done mostly.............
