Potatoes are formed under ground .How do they contain starch when photosynthesis occurs in the green leaves above the ground

Photosynthesis : Photosynthesis is a Process in which Plants Make their own Food In the Presence of Sunlight and Chlorophyll.
Plant take the Energy from the Sunlight and They take all the nutrients from the Soil.
So, For Potato They take Starchs from The Soil.

Potato is nothing but root modified for storage of food...... so the food prepared by the leaves is stored underground i.e potato
